What to Expect

Hike Structure

  • Professionally guided off-leash hikes with Alex, owner and operator of Happy Puppy 

  • Group size limited to 6 dogs, thoughtfully matched

When & Where

  • Tuesday - Friday midday

  • 1–1.25 hour hike duration

  • Off-leash designated trails of Vancouver's North Shore Mountains

  • Pick-up & Drop-off included (see service area map below)

    • 11:30–1:30 pm pickup | 2:30–5:00 pm drop-off

Who Can Join

  • Dogs must complete brief assessment  — contact us to learn more

  • Spayed/neutered, up to date on all required vaccines, comfortable around dogs and people, confident off-leash, and have reliable recall.

  • Not sure if your pup is ready for group hikes? We can help! Contact us, and we'll create a tailored plan. 

Recurring Spots

  • A monthly pass is required to reserve a weekly recurring spot

Holidays

No hikes are scheduled on B.C. statutory holidays or during the Summer Holiday Period (July 16-27, 2026). No recurring hikes are scheduled during the Winter Holiday Period (Dec 18, 2026 - Jan 4, 2027), but are available to book in advance as a drop-in service. 

Make-up hikes: When possible, if a BC statutory holiday falls between Tuesday-Friday, a make-up hike may be offered on the Monday of that week, with details confirmed closer to the date.

  • Every pup is securely clipped into their harness during car transit

  • All dogs wear a Tractive GPS tracker while off-leash

  • All hikes take place in safe, low-traffic areas
